Huangshan Mountain, China

Huangshan is a series of mountain peaks, many of which reach over 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) in height. Paths winding through the park are well-maintained, and many include handrails and paved walkways. It’s also possible to take a cable car to the top and explore on foot from there.

If you are not into stairs, an unlimited stairs....then think twice of climbing the mountain. But consider that when you reached to the top, it is very fulfilling. So hang on, give it a try.

Dangerous trail

I admit I was super scared when I climbed this trail with my heavy back pack while the strong wind blew on me. I was afraid of losing my balance and there are no handrail to hold on in case something happened. But thankfully, I made it to the top.

Going up is not easy for some, but for me going down is harder.

 With its dramatic, ragged peaks, misty pine trees, the ground scenery is stunning. My visit to the mountain valleys, streams and villages that introduces to me the culture made my trip worthwhile.

I stayed at the peak for one night, and the experience is unforgettable.

Here's my itinerary:

Day 01:

- From the hotel, I walked from Tangkou Bridge to Huangshan Front Gate and took a bus for 19.00 RMB.

- The bus ride from the Huangshan Front Gate (Bus Station) to Yungu Temple is about 20-25 Minutes.

- Entrance Fee of 230.00 RMB, and I walked my way to the top.

- After 3.5 hours of trekking, I reached the White Goose Ridge and explored the area.

- From there I walked to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Brightness Top, Monkey Watching the sea and the Camel-Back Peak and that took me to hours and half to explore.

- Decided to head back to the hotel at the bottom of the mountain as my ankle starts burning.

- Took the Yungu cable car, a bus ride and few kilometers walk back to my hotel and arrived at 7:00 pm.

Day 02:

- From the hotel, I walked from Tangkou Bridge to Huangshan Front Gate and took a bus for 19.00 RMB.

- The bus ride from the Huangshan Front Gate (Bus Station) to Yungu Temple and took the cable car of 80.00 RMB and entrance fee of 230.00 RMB.

- After taking the cable car, I walked to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak and headed to Xihai Reservior

and way down to Xihai Canyon.

- I continue to descend until I reached the Pai Xunxi Station and climb back to the top through the Stone Figure Peak (dangerous trail).

- I arrived to Beihai Hotel at 7:30 pm, and stayed there for a night (rented tent for 300.00 RMB).

Day 03:

- Woke up at 4:00 am and left Beihai Hotel to witness the sunrise.

- Took my breakfast at Xihai Hotel and start descend to Baiyun Hotel.

- As I descended, the nature's beauty I saw were all amazing. The Lotus Peak, Heavenly City Peak and never ending beautiful work of God, I was in love.

- At 4:00 pm I was already inside the Yuping cable car that costs 90.00 RMB to Hot Spring Station.

- Reached at the bus station for about 12 minutes and another 20 minutes bus ride to Tangkou Bridge.

- From the gate a few minutes walk to the hotel where I stayed at Huangshan Linxi First Tower Inn (highly recommended). 

So there you have it, that was my 3 days in Huangshan. I am looking forward to my return to Huangshan Mountain next year!
